Missile Baits Partnership in 2022 Season!

Every once in a while and angler finds a bait that they have the utmost confidence in, they use it for years, and that confidence never fades. I have been fortunate enough to find a bait company that makes several baits that I have been using for quite some time now and I am excited to say that I was welcomed to the team for the 2022 Season, and hopefully beyond. That bait company is Missile Baits!

I have been using their baits for the last few years and they have landed me some high finishes in tournaments as well as some memorable days on the water with family and friends. Some of my favorites are the D Bomb, the Destroyer, the Quiver 6.5 and 4.5, and the Bomb Shot.

My style of fishing leans heavily on flipping' and pitching' and the D Bomb and Destroyer are perfect baits for those techniques. Whether you rig them with a Texas rig or throw them on the back of a jig, they have the ability to draw big fish bites.

The D Bomb led me to a top 10 finish in the WON Bass California Open in 2020 Flippin' and Pitching' around docks all three days. Everything I weighed in over the three days, with the exception of one fish, was caught on the D Bomb.

In a Wild West Bass Pro/Am on the California Delta in 2021, the D Bomb also landed me a double digit fish on the first day. To say I have confidence when the D Bomb is on the end of my line is an understatement. The D Bomb has ribs that move water, thin flappers that move naturally with either the slightest twitch of you line or the natural movement of the water. The addition of scent in the plastic and the durability of the bait makes it an easy choice for me when threading a flipping' bait on my hook.

The Destroyer is another bait in the Missile Baits line up that has a place in my arsenal. I found that it has worked best for me from Early spring into early summer. It is a ribbed creature bait that has long twin ribbon tails and is a mouthful for a big bass. I used this bait to secure a top 5 finish in another Wild West Bass Trail tournament on the California Delta.

Another bait that I have a soft spot for is the Quiver, in both the 4.5" and 6.5" sizes. The Quiver is a straight ribbed worm with a thin pointed, paddle type tail that has a ton of action. I have fished it a variety of ways but it is extremely productive with a Neko rig. I have also found great success with the 4.5" fished vertically on a jighead. As a matter of fact, that is exactly how I fished it at the 2021 Wild West Bass Trail Team Championship where my team partner and I came with in less that a pound and a half of the win.

An even better reason for my love of the Quiver is the fact that I watched my 11 year old daughter catch her personal best on the Hillbilly colored Quiver 6.5 while fishing at Clear Lake last summer! To say she was excited is an understatement!

So there you have it. It is easy to see why I am excited to be part of the Missile Baits team. I get to represent something that I have been using for quite a while with great success!
